The Onehub FTP Gateway provides support for securely uploading files and folders with standard FTP clients. FTP allows you to transfer larger files and automate certain file management actions. This is often helpful when you are first populating your Workspaces.
Note: Users with Downloader and above permissions can use FTP to connect. Secure links will not allow users to connect via FTP, as users must have log-in credentials to connect.
Settings
To connect you can use an FTP client with the following settings:
Server or Host: |
ftp.onehub.com |
---|---|
User Name/Password: |
Email and password used with Onehub |
Port: |
2022 or 21 |
Protocol and Encryption: |
FTP over explicit TLS/SSL** |
*Your FTP client must support TLS 1.2 and above
** The wording for this protocol may vary slightly between FTP clients.
Connection Troubleshooting
If you have a firewall on your computer or network and are having trouble connecting, try opening port 2022 and ports 53451 through 56450. The latter are data connection ports used for file transfers.
Note: FileZilla's "Quickconnect" will not allow proper set up of the protocol and encryption and will produce an error. This must be set up manually under "File Site Manager > New Site".
We do not support SFTP connections at this time. Connections must follow the Protocol and Encryption listed in the above settings.
General Troubleshooting
If you are receiving an error message when trying to upload or download files, check the names of your files or folders against the following:
-File names must not contain following special characters: /, \, *, :, <, >, ?, |, and tabs.
-File names must not end in spaces or periods.
-File names must not include sequential period characters.
If any of the above are in your file names, editing the name of the file using the browser will correct the issue when downloading or uploading in FTP.
FTP and Two-Factor Authentication
To access Onehub via FTP with Two-Factor Authentication enabled, simply append your 6-digit authentication code to the end of your password when signing in. Please note that FTP requires the use of an authenticator app and does not support authentication via SMS.
