Onehub provides a host of security features to help businesses protect their data. Read about enabling two-factor authentication in our support article: Two-Factor Authentication
Transcript:
Two-factor authentication is an easy way to add an extra layer of security to the files you store and share in Onehub. Two-factor authentication requires you to enter an authentication code from a verified device in addition to your password when signing in to Onehub. This feature can be enabled by any user and can be enforced by account admins on the Business plan* and above.
You can enable two-factor authentication by clicking on your Settings tab and selecting Security from the options on the right. Click enable two-factor authentication. By default, you will be prompted to set up an Authenticator app that will generate six-digit authentication codes for you. simply follow the instructions on the screen to download and install the app of your choice on your mobile device.
If you would rather receive authentication codes via text message click the authenticate via SMS button. Once you've installed your Authenticator app use it to scan the barcode presented. If you are unable to scan the barcode you can manually enter the code presented. Enter the six-digit code generated by your Authenticator app and click "verify and continue".
A mobile phone number is required as a backup in case you lose access to your Authenticator. Enter your mobile number and click "send verification code". You will be sent a six-digit verification code via SMS text message. Enter the code to verify your phone and enable the two-factor authentication.
Once you enable two-factor authentication, any time you sign into Onehub you will be required to enter your credentials as well as the special code generated by your Authenticator app of choice.
If you are an administrator of an account on the Business Plan* or above you can enforce two-factor authentication for all users who access your data. To enable this feature click "Account" and select "Security" from the options on the right click enforce two-factor authentication and hit save. All of your users will be notified about enforcement and will have 24 hours to enable two-factor authentication at their convenience. If users do not enable this feature within 24 on their own they will be required to activate two-factor authentication in order to access their account.
If not enforced on your account you can disable two-factor authentication by clicking "Setting" then "Security" then clicking the "Disable" button.
