Notifications are a way for users to stay informed of new activity happening inside their Onehub account. You can control the types of notifications, the workspace you wish to receive notifications for, and adjust your Summary Email settings.
- Administrators can set the types of notifications a workspace generates in the Workspace Settings.
- Users can set the types of notifications they want to receive in the user Settings (described in this article). Users only receive notifications at their primary email address.
Note: Users invited directly to files or folders do not receive New File Upload notifications or Summary Email, regardless of role. Only account-level users and users invited to Workspaces receive these types of notifications.
Accessing Notification Settings
Click on your profile image in the top-right, click Settings, and click Notifications to access your notification settings. The Notifications settings page is broken down into two sections.
Notification Types / Summary Emails
Summary Emails are a snapshot of the activity that occurs in the workspace by other users and yourself. Use the Notification Types section to set the events you want included in the Summary Emails. You will only receive Summary Emails if you have been granted permission to view the workspace's Activity Log. Only Creator or above privileges can receive Summary Emails* and Comment notifications.
* When data room mode is enabled, only Moderators and Administrators will receive Summary Emails.
The Summaries dropdown menu allows you to set the frequency at which you receive Summary Emails. You can change the frequency to As Events Occur, Daily, or Weekly. You can also choose to include/exclude your own activity using the Hide My Activity toggle.
Workspace Notifications
The Workspace Notifications section allows you to choose which type of notifications you receive for each workspace you have been given access to. You can enable the Summaries, New Files, New Comments, and New Messages notifications per workspace by using the toggle under each Workspace displayed.
Summary Email frequency can be adjusted as shown in the previous section; however, Comment, Message, Task, and File notifications are always distributed as events occur unless they are turned off.
