Now you can send documents that are saved in Onehub workspaces with DocuSign. DocuSign allows you to send out a variety of documents to obtain the e-signatures of recipients.
Note: A DocuSign account is required for all users that would like to send documents to be DocuSigned.
Getting Started
This feature is available for Onehub accounts on the Advanced, Data Room, and Unlimited plans. Users will need to have collaborator and above permissions to use this feature.
Note: The DocuSign integration will be disabled by default if the Custom Domain and White Label feature is enabled on an account. We are unable to hide Onehub branding from this integration. This integration can be enabled by going to Account > Integrations.
To send a document to be DocuSigned from within the folder or workspace view, hover over the document and click the more button ("..."), and select 'Send With Docusign'.
You can also hit the “Edit” button when previewing a document.
If this is your first time using the DocuSign integration, you'll need to log in to your DocuSign account and then grant Onehub permission to create and send DocuSign envelopes on your behalf.
After logging in, Onehub will send you, along with the document you selected, to DocuSign's own editing page where you can add signature requests, recipients, and anything else needed to prepare your document for sending. Then simply send the envelope from within DocuSign.
When all recipients have signed their document, we'll add a copy of the signed version to a folder named 'DocuSigned'. This automatically-generated folder will be located in the same folder or workspace from which you sent out the original document to be DocuSigned.
Note: This folder will show up in Activity logs as the user who sent out the document being the one that creates the folder.
Troubleshooting Tips
DocuSign supports the following file types:
Document | .doc, .docm, .docx, .dot, .dotm, .dotx, .htm, .html, .msg, .pdf, .rtf, .txt, .wpd, .xps |
Image | .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .tif, .tiff |
Presentation | .pot, .potx, .pps, .ppt, .pptm, .pptx |
Spreadsheet | .csv, .xls, .xlsm, .xlsx |
If the document that was sent via DocuSign has not come back to your workspace there could be a few reasons why:
- Not everybody has signed the document yet.
- The original workspace or folder the document was in before it was sent to be signed no longer exists.
- The user that sent the document no longer has the correct permission level in their Onehub account to DocuSign.
Note: Documents that failed to save back to Onehub are still accessible in your DocuSign account.
If these scenarios do not apply, please reach out to Onehub support at support@onehub.com.
Disabling DocuSign Integration
Account Administrators can disable the DocuSign feature for the entire account by visiting the Account tab > Integrations. Click the checkbox next to 'Disable DocuSign Integration' and click Save Changes.
